Message From Vicar: Rev. Dr. Eappen Varghese

Dearly Beloved in Christ, Reset our spiritual life. We are entering into the Great Lent, the beautiful time in the church calendar, worshiping the passion, suffering, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the time we bow down and worship the Lord. Bowing down is a very beautiful spiritual exercise. When we bow down, it reminds us to put down our ego, selfishness, pride, jealousy, envy, and the like. It also reminds us to submit to the Lord and surrender to His will. The music and the chants are of sadness. But we look forward to Easter, the resurrection of our Lord, and the transformation and newness that has been brought to our life. By bowing down and worshipping God, let’s reset our lives.

Message From Assistant Vicar : Rev. Santhosh Thomas

In ancient Roman religion and Greek mythology, they recognized a mythical God named Janus. Janus was the God of beginnings and transitions. He represented the facilitation of gates, doorways, passages, and endings. Janus presided over the beginning and ending of conflicts. Janus was depicted as a God with two faces on one head; and these two faces looked in the opposite direction of each other. Their direction indicated that one face looked backward as the other face looked forward. It is conventionally thought that Janus is the root from where we get the word January, the name for the first month of the year.
